Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to HTML to Image (html2img.com) ("Service") ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service available at html2img.com, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Service provides an API for generating screenshot images from provided HTML, CSS, or URLs with specified parameters such as width, height, and DPI. Rendered images are uploaded to our Content Delivery Network ("CDN") and a URL is returned for user access.
3. Prohibited Uses
Users agree not to use the Service for:
- Generating images from content that is illegal, illicit, or promotes hate, violence, or any criminal activity.
- Taking screenshots of websites or materials that contain adult content, pornography, or similar materials.
- Any purpose that violates local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Any purpose that may cause harm or offence to individuals or businesses, or cause any kind of slander or libel.
We reserve the right to refuse service to users or terminate accounts that violate this clause.
4. Free Usage and Account Limitations
We may provide free credits for new users to evaluate the Service. Users are prohibited from creating multiple accounts to circumvent these free usage limitations. Any such behavior will result in account suspension and forfeiture of credits.
5. Billing and Payment
Our billing system currently operates on a credit-based model, where one credit corresponds to one render. We reserve the right to modify our billing structure, including but not limited to transitioning to a runtime-based billing model (e.g., per millisecond of rendering time).
6. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service, including its underlying software, API, and content, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of the HTML, CSS, and URLs they provide. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purposes of rendering and delivering the requested image. By using our service, you grant us the right to reference your usage in case studies and promotional materials on our website, provided that no sensitive or confidential information is disclosed without prior consent.
7. Data Retention and Privacy
Rendered images and associated metadata may be retained on our servers for a limited period for operational and debugging purposes. Users are responsible for ensuring that any data provided does not violate privacy laws or third-party rights.
8. Data Deletion and CDN Availability
We reserve the right to delete any data or images at any time, without prior notice. We do not guarantee the length of time an image will remain available on our CDN. The CDN is provided as a convenience and not as a long-term storage service. Users are encouraged to download their images immediately after generation and should not rely on the CDN for indefinite storage.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:
- Use or inability to use the Service.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
- Actions taken based on rendered images.
10. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless HTML2IMG, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Violation of these Terms.
- Use of the Service for prohibited purposes.
- Breach of applicable laws or third-party rights.
11. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service for any user, at our sole discretion, without prior notice, particularly in cases of prohibited use or violations of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [Your Jurisdiction].
